Description
Step into Romania’s countryside — right in the heart of the capital. Founded in 1936, the Village Museum is an open-air museum showcasing more than 300 authentic rural homes, barns, mills, and churches relocated from every region of Romania.
It’s spread across 15 hectares on the edge of Herăstrău Lake, offering a peaceful escape into tradition. Each section reflects a different region, complete with gardens, wells, and even farm animals in the warmer months.
After visiting, enjoy a meal nearby at one of the lakeside restaurants — or take a boat ride through Herăstrău Park.
💡 AirVoucher Tip: Visit on weekends when local artisans host folk craft markets and live demonstrations.
